Yes I ordered it on the <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Internet</span> and Yes I put it together (well dad had to do some tightening when her got here, I was missing a couple tools) I am so excited to go on bike-ventures as I call them. I road it to the gym yesterday, it was so nice, there are so many things in bloom that as you past different yards and fields different smells come to your nose, jasmine, honeysuckle, flowers, grass, parsley in the fields……just the smell of spring around here I guess. I loved it!!!! and today I road down to the coffee shop. It's not built for speed or hills for that matter but it is built for fun!katiemaierhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06565396405722763941noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7928173929772433106.post-18127142179005680032008-04-30T15:24:00.000-07:002008-04-30T15:55:54.436-07:00Fun Find<div align="center"><span style="font-size:180%;">More plants, I just love looking at this in my yard.<br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5195170794192307106" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1q9BfHJ4LyQ_szWoT3xuJW7HignfV2mGIOrCJeFnWVUdMkcy0izh4NnGYK_FvRtwEJPFiL-cl8zdWZ9sS2PPR3MSveqa-TgSpV8MXNsYFxH4rVdR9V3rF54EXMrsGuGy63eOGWIGi7Ugr/s320/P1010095.JPG" border="0" /></span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:180%;"> </div></span>We were in Morro Bay and I noticed these plants, I haven't really seen them before, they were planted around the little downtown. A guy at work said I needed to water it everyday. “Really,” I say because when I first moved here I killed EVERYTHING I planted because I drowned them. “Look at the farmers,” he says “they have their sprinklers going everyday.” This is true. So every day, I swear, I would sprinkle them with my hose. Well the water just kind of beads up and didn’t really seem to soak in because the soil here is so sandy and we planted the plants on little mounds. Well lets just say my little garden was NOT flourishing. My Mom and Dad came out last weekend. Both were so excited to see how the garden was doing. My dad took one look at it stuck his finger in the soil and says, “KATIE they’re burning up give these things some water!” So there was a couple tomato plant causalities but the rest were saved and planted differently so they could reach the water better. It is true the farmers run they’re sprinklers everyday but for hours not just a couple minutes…..OOPS, everything get a second chance right., Katie’s try at being a green thumb take two! </div><br /><br /><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5195167066160694146" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSOZbx42zKzApUpTJ192TCi2zI5Xd4rL2Af-M57m7rw1c9-D4aUybBrLgZWS9z-YeN_ykoqG5lJAm_njHRhToV_uHC4ut4NGenYyMrt6XLKUgPT2yWNmxF_bNKmuXEhZfYD0AyPIhVw_ib/s400/P1010093.JPG" border="0" /></div></div></div></div><br />I will continue to update as it grows......no more casualties!!!katiemaierhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06565396405722763941noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7928173929772433106.post-69921264363173253182008-04-20T13:13:00.000-07:002008-04-20T14:00:36.783-07:00Green thumb?<div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMY3wD8gjfhOUCQfdOhqeJa0J9fgxx8tIkW5bnyzMjvuftubs8pf95CQynTQDVRaL1-2-T2ER0TEPhS8tZcmbUSL15AknEjoK67NK-tB4_4az8X9RaxXwFqxCR7qtahFCEHl9l_j5zW_py/s1600-h/P1010700.JPG"></a>Last august when i first got here we placed zucchini seeds in the ground. And before i knew it they were HUGE! I live in between farm fields and surely the land my house is on used to be a farm field as well so I'm pretty sure green thumb or not anyone could grow something around here. however i like to say its my wonderful gardening abilities that are responsible. I try and think of something fun for us to do first we were going to go fishing out of Morro Bay…FUN!!! Well I soon find out that doesn’t start until May. So they say how about Whale watching I say GREAT so I made reservation and really start to get excited. All week it was rainy but I thought maybe, hopefully, it would clear up for the weekend right? WRONG!!! Not only did it NOT clear up but it was a STORM!!!! The whale people even called and said that the coast guard is advising that no one go out but next weekend should be nice if I want to reschedule…..of course! So that morning we had to think of an alternate activity…He brought up Hearst Castle, which is a castle up in the hills, that was built by a newspaper guy William Hearst. It was beautiful. However it was hard to get a good feel for the outside or the view because it was so foggy and freezing!!!! And again silly me did not wear a warm enough jacket cause I figured we would be inside most of the time. Well a lot of it was outside oh well…what do ya do?</div><br /><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5171078508066888178" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWiE0vImXOTtkuVb-QKZnw1ra_a3FVdh3hsObe53or6tVyTGoeLx7-nWaaax3KrfQEJ5huajwMv5WgB5PTS2QvjO3yfcDerAPKlM70nsIq7hq1sHgQPneDqhNPnPqo1GKZ47fRDKu1K8M0/s320/castle_clouds.jpg" border="0" />There was beautiful art everywhere outside inside all over we didn't see the entire castle the have 4 different tours ...Even to parts we saw our tour was a hour and a half and i think we just scratched the surface ...Unreal to thing that someone actually live here!!!</div><br /><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5171082661300263474" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKzMJkzC681VJ6eXSkr6QF97C5aEeiislwUXuKyoWvK_5GjR7Rz0JFzSg1U5f6EhKJ53hVCmXrMxA-C1sQ1z61llvKydGprAXHVvdhomYF-LSZEzqNWZG0YS2XKmnmL_lbPxT6vONIJRdQ/s320/P1010694.JPG" border="0" /></div></div></div><br /><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5171079775082240514" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOs3XGWX8WuPyHO3BHY3nLrinHtNBBcRQacEocx9y-_V22KworkDOQZj7d_1BQfV0RjrB9CThkcn6ZWsmtysk0Om8Zx-dR7uuCruub9ZwUZFFS7cy0k_JbIuaSVT8wNpxcqMdgSd3aFkYb/s320/P1010678.JPG" border="0" /><br /><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5171080226053806610" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWFbujiONtrIBZ1npA7rbZDZBH3_eYrCMUCLun4XBR2FnUDDZU4Q22ZDvlLAl35IyI_vty_ps9DAdQrEe19SoJPaK7PkUEWTYeMZ3b5t7jYcsW21zlZqNE40RLRJTTqHoGToO2cWnkXmBY/s320/P1010683.JPG" border="0" /><br />The outdoor pool can you imagine canonballing into that?! The tile had pieces that were plated with real gold. It covered the bottom of the pool, up the walls and on the ceiling. It was soooo beautiful in there. </div><div><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5171084014214961730" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfv_JBtcJ_ToTncxlORVAmdO0k7452g_BdvLQ6693IpFSZqEkpxb_5JHvNIQ-HolHlqse65NJ6048jx4lJyBylZnj8s4FSFunS2iFI3g_iIX2W_AJgdRBBF41eAiBCrVYRaWYdqi6Qp4GT/s320/P1010700.JPG" border="0" />This was the dining room. Mr. Hearst would have invite people to stay at tha castle all the time. He sat in the middle of the table. The first night you got there you would sit right next to him and each night after you would get moved down one chair. So when your in the last chair ...oops guess its time to go home. Good idea for those house guest who overstay thier welcome!<br /><p></p></div></div></div>katiemaierhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06565396405722763941noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7928173929772433106.post-45464906936634150402008-02-19T20:09:00.001-08:002008-02-19T20:35:33.217-08:00My Page Name<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvFB7pItXv6_43znMBlpLd82BsjU8nFdugjK39zkgqizMPlVXPndnCF5MG_S3Mbb2ubTcxAABn1nGSvLVrlVr1-XosO0bnnsbmw0bSi5yZgKdGqgsGNded9-zjtXoDZ_qcwjtyY53jstiL/s1600-h/PC140015.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5168912676318599586" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvFB7pItXv6_43znMBlpLd82BsjU8nFdugjK39zkgqizMPlVXPndnCF5MG_S3Mbb2ubTcxAABn1nGSvLVrlVr1-XosO0bnnsbmw0bSi5yZgKdGqgsGNded9-zjtXoDZ_qcwjtyY53jstiL/s320/PC140015.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div>This year because of my work schedule I was not able to come home for Christmas ...The first time EVER I would not be with my family for the holidays. So about a week before Christmas my mom and Bodie came out to see me. It was Bodies first airplane ride! So..... I was rushing around that morning doing little things before they flew in. The airport is only about 15 miles or so away from my house. Well one thing lead to another and before i Know it "oh my goodness I better get going" Well in actuallity the 15 mins is really 30 and I have a little problem with being on time as it is.....So to get to the point after a worried phone call from my mom and i swear every red light in Santa Maria I pull up to the airport. I see them waiting and sneak up behind bodie who is busy digging in his backpack........ "BOO" I say......He jumps up startled the first thing that comes out of his four year old mouth........"Crazy auntie where you been!?!" The phrase has stuck in our family sense. </div>katiemaierhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06565396405722763941noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7928173929772433106.post-48307961295749908722008-02-19T19:40:00.000-08:002008-02-19T20:54:43.661-08:00Fun With the Wine Wranglers<div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdrDN2QfsaQ72uEcyVu1GhyrCG3JqEAyvrOaL8nnr4dhg9eapU92RhtSo6rBfsA4nRQbchPReI6O6PjMyvlxaef1owjGtHPVTM3FpNoVEN0DqOQ1-lDIKNXt_J5Ulo87hDVKieAqN4-0di/s1600-h/P1010675.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5168917649890728370" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdrDN2QfsaQ72uEcyVu1GhyrCG3JqEAyvrOaL8nnr4dhg9eapU92RhtSo6rBfsA4nRQbchPReI6O6PjMyvlxaef1owjGtHPVTM3FpNoVEN0DqOQ1-lDIKNXt_J5Ulo87hDVKieAqN4-0di/s320/P1010675.JPG" border="0" /></a> Jamie came this weekend for a girls weekend...Its been way too long!!!
